Rosebel Community Fund supports communities with water and electricity supply

The Rosebel Community Fund ("RCF") and the Ministry of Natural Resources ("NR") signed funding agreements to implement three projects in the districts of Brokopondo and Sipaliwini on February 15, 2021. The signing of these agreements marks the start of the installation of LED street lights in the district of Brokopondo. In the district of Sipaliwini two projects will be implemented involving the sustainable improvement of the drinking water supply and the electrification system in the Pikin Saramacca area.

Rosebel Community Fund finances contruction mooring facilities New Lombe, Munjekreek and Kapasikele

The Cabinet of Traditional Authority New Lombe, Munjekreek and Kapasikele, represented by Mr. Hendry Kaffe, recently entered into an agreement with the Rosebel Community Fund Foundation (RCF) to finance the construction of mooring facilities for these 3 villages. Through this project, the villages will now be able to provide a safe mooring for passengers wishing to cross by boat.

Rosebel donates to healthcare organizations

10 new scholars added to Rosebel Scholarship Program

As part of our "Corporate Social Responsibility" at Rosebel Gold Mines, we implement various education-related projects within the communities of the Brokopondo district each year through our community development program. One of these projects is our Rosebel Brokopondo Scholarship Program, which aims to provide scholarships to the most successful students of the MULO and LBO schools in the district of Brokopondo, in order to continue and successfully complete secondary school or higher education in Paramaribo.

Brokopondo champions Acconut thank Rosebel for support

Around the mine site in Brokopondo District, Rosebel Gold Mines has built strong relationships over many years with local communities, including New Lombe. With Rosebel’s support, Acocunut, the New Lombe boys’ soccer team, developed into a strong side and competed in the Surinamese soccer league. Thanks to their hard work and determination, Acoconut were champions of the second division this year, winning promotion to the first division.
