Execute Category Management activities in line with specified guidelines and business requirements to confirm surety of supply, reduction of ad-hoc buying and number of transactions, ensure business's Supply needs strategically matched with the market with minimum Supply risk for the business.

What we're looking for:

Sourcing plan, Contracts Strategies, Agreements finalization:

•Performs sourcing strategies and plans for assigned categories with aim to finalize long term contracts with reliable business partners;
•Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives;
•Support Category Management Leadership teams to provide insight into the sub-function activities;
•Collects requirements and analyses key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to build robust category and sourcing strategies;
•Validates category strategies and contract coverage to support the Business Strategies;
•Plans and executes portfolio of sourcing projects enabling category strategies and manages on-time delivery minimizing disruption to the business operations;
•Develops, publishes and manages tenders and their commercial evaluation in line with sourcing projects;
•Coordinates the technical and any other non-commercial evaluation of tenders prior to vendor negotiation;
•Conducts and leads negotiations with suppliers post tender evaluation and creates, manages and monitors contracts;
•Sources, manage sand develops suppliers and business partners to maximize value addition;
•Performs supplier selection, qualification & on-boarding in line with local requirements and regulation.

Maintain records for the Supply Chain Inventory:

•Works with the computer to do analysis of spend base and finalize sourcing strategies;
•Ensures records are accurate, produced on time, up to date and in the required format;
•Prepares invitation to tender, conducts bid clarification meetings, prepares evaluation sheets, finalizes contracts;
•Maintains reference materials in accordance with regulations and policies;
•Performs clerical functions such as data entry, typing, filing and other functions required to maintain accurate records.


•University degree in Business, Finance or Economics
•2 - 3 years of related experience;
•Previous experience with tenders, contracts and category management.
•General knowledge of computerized purchase order system and tracking with good data processing skills;
•General knowledge of materials management, logistics, transportation, and governmental regulations related to material shipments;
•General knowledge of mechanical and chemical principles and terminology;
•Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment;
•Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities;
•Excellent communication skills;
•Strong computer skills;
•Ability to work with others in a team environment.
